I. June Charity Horse Show – June 5th – 7thOur annual Charity horse show will be held all day June 5th through June 7th. For the second year in a row, Shallowbrook Equestrian Center is partnering with the Ride for the Ribbon, Stefanie Spielman Foundation for Breast Cancer Research and will donate a portion of the entry fees from each of the designated Ride for the Ribbon classes.
As an active supporter of the equine industry and breast cancer research, Governor Jodi Rell of Connecticut expressed her support, “this is a perfect opportunity to also extend thanks to Shallowbrook Equestrian Center for their dedication, enthusiasm, and generosity in partnering with Ride for the Ribbon…it is my hope that this year’s show will be even more enjoyable and successful than last year and I thank all of the participants for your exceptional support in the fight against such a terrible disease.”
Riders of all ages come from all over the Northeast. Come enjoy the sun, great food and amazing riding and GOOD LUCK to all of the Shallowbrook riders!!!

Congratulations to Meghan Banach on being our first question of the month winner. And special thanks to Absorbine for donating Bug Block as our prize. The next question will be posted online at shallowbrook.com next week. Answers can be submitted in the question box in the tack room. One correct answer will be awarded at the end of the month.
III. Pretty Pony Grooming Clinic
Thank you to everyone who participated in our grooming clinic. Valuable grooming tips were shared and the ponies looked beautiful!!! And special thanks to Absorbine for supplying Bug Block for all participants.
- Away Horse Show Success
Congratulations to all of the Shallowbrook riders who competed and won multiple ribbons this past Sunday at the Bethany Horse Show. GREAT riding!
V. Summer Camp 2009 – DUE NOW
Reminder that camp applications are due now!!! Campers will enjoy a variety of activities including riding, arts and crafts, swimming, and horse care. Weekly sessions begin July 6th and camp day is 9:30am-1:30pm. Pre-school week will be July 27th-July 30th, 9:30-12. Applications are due ASAP as space is limited. Applications are available at Shallowbrook on the information board and in the tack room as well as at shallowbrook.com.
